My Combro chronograph arrived today! Got it of ebay from Nicconos (sp?) in Quebec.
Easy set-up compared to a free standing chronograph, once you figure out how to get it to read in fps and ft-lbs. (You enter the pellet weight and it gives you fpe.) If you are not familiar with these, they are very popular in the UK. They attach to the muzzle of your air rifle...Can't use it on firearms because the muzzle flash would turn it into shrapnel, obviously.
$83 shipped to my door.

I have the same chrono. Ideal imo for muzzle exit velocity measurements, and nothing stops you to shoot through another chronograph a couple feet further, giving very accurate numbers for BC calculations. |

| What is the fps range of it and where is a good place to buy it? |

| They are apparently not so great on Co2 guns- any Co2 clouding will mess up readings from what I understand. |

That's a great idea. I have in the past had to shoot a bunch of pellets up close to get a good average, and then do it all again at 20 yards or so, to get enough data for a decent calculation of BC.

Says up to "600+ MPS" "75+ Joules."
That would be up to about 2000 FPS, 56 FPE. I didn't notice anything in the booklet about minimums it can read...maybe on their website?
I have not seen these anywhere in the USA. I got mine from "Nikkonos" on Ebay from Quebec, Canada. Nikkonos is apparently a regular dealer for these, as there were many new ones for sale.

I've read that too. I haven't tried it out yet on my one CO2 rifle...the QB78DL. |

| 56 FPE! Bummer. I was hoping that it would be useful for the Condor. |

since it can measure up to 600 meter per second (about 2000 fps) I don't see why you can't use it on the condor?
Never tried what the heaviest pellet weigth is that you can enter... |

I also have a Combro chronograph and have used it for the last 5 years with no problems. At the same time I also bought the serial link for it, it enables you to display the fps and fps on a laptop in large letters, plus sound effects, it also records all the shots to file.
If you do buy this add on you will need a serial to USB converter. The serial does not cost much and is well worth it.
Combro also provide some free software for chronoscope.
Enjoy

Thanks, Al,
I saw the serial kit on their website, but shipping to the states will likely be more than the kit. I'll scrounge around and see if I can figure it out.
cheers
