| I have a .25 Benjamin, and I sighted it in at 20 yards and i am only getting about a 3 inch group, should it be shooting better or is this the best im gonna get??? |

welcome to the forum.
Just two small points of note for you though.
1-The I dont think the Q&A section is really for asking questions like you're asking. Better to ask in one of the sub forums( Rifles, Optics, ect)
2-You may receive a better response if you post an intro first.(maybe too late though  )

| Sounds like you need to try some different pellets! Each gun has its preference. |

| Short answer is YES you should expect tighter groups. Now the long answer. What are you using for sights (open, peep, scope, etc)? How is you hold on the gun (tight, artilliary, bench)? Shooting conditions (windy, calm, humid, dry)? shooting position (standing, kneeling, prone, seated)? THere are so many variables here. For me I had my gun sighted in on 10 yards with a scope and was getting pretty tight groups (1 inch), but suddenly my groups opened up pretty bad. I cleaned the gun and started trying a bunch of pellets. NOTHING worked. I finally noticed that my scope mount stop pin had sheared off and my scope was slowly creeping backward! There are many factors that can alter a shot group. |

Air guns are extremely sensitive to hold. Be careful you aren't holding it too tightly, because the way recoil spring buck, the recoil is different than a standard rifle. Also, your trigger probably sucks. If your trigger affects your shot, you'll probably hit low and right, or left if you're left handed.
Another big thing is ammo. Get some different varieties and styles of pellets and see what your gun prefers.
