Well a big thanx to Sniper for a good deal on his Crosman 1077. I had been eye'ing this rifle as it seemed especially easy to mod.

This is the goal of this mod with a scope added to it(sorry very rough paint pic)

Thats extremely hard cherry wood the 1077 is sitting on will be its new stock

This is the brake I made, I have always liked the Barret .50 cal sniper rifle with its brake so I thought I would make one a lil similar. Made out of solid aluminum.

Here it is mounted on the gun. I think it add a lil bad a$$ to it

The stock I will probably spend the rest of this week working on it and it won't be easy. Just got new bandsaw blades so I am off to the shop

Here is a roughed out stock for it.

I thought the wood was cherry but it sure does smell like pine but its very hard so it might be longleaf pine which is supposed to pretty hard.

A day of sanding and she is ready for the ebony stain I will be doing. Here's a pre stain look

For the adjustable stock, I just drilled and squared out two holes and then filled them with jb weld, 1/4-20 tapped it and used allen screws with press on adjustment knobs

That's pretty neat. How much time do you have into the stock?

I'd say at least 20 hrs. I also have determined the wood to be longleaf pine. It was as hard as oak !!!

If ya look at that last pic and look behind where the trigger is you will see where I cut the stock and extended it by about 5/8". Had to get the right feel for the trigger. So that added time to it, I also didn't mix some epoxy right and had to remix another batch to get the first batch to cure right.

I own my own business and unfortunately it has been slow so plenty of time to mod stuff :-)

That is one very cool gun you are building. The stock looks amazing, can't wait to see the finished product. I love the tactical look on airguns.

I also look forward to seeing the finished product. Tell me more about using drilled/tapped JB Weld. I have always used threaded inserts, but the JB Weld presents possibilities.

Well finished the stock for now...debating if I want to keep the wood look or do satin black finish. If ya look close you will see that I should have spent another day sanding.

Slavia, the JB weld was a cheap and effective way to add threaded inserts into an area where I couldn't use the standard inserts. I just drilled the hole for the thumb adjustment knobs first and filled with the JB weld. Harbor Freight and Big Lots carries China imitation JB weld for like a buck works great!!

So I have one more mod for now and that will be an attachment for the forward grip to hold an led flashlight.

Get that finish looking better and fancy up your fore grip and it's a 9/10

Looks good but I liked the natural finish better than that one. I would lose the front grip and put a Weaver rail to attach a bi pod. The spray bedliner stuff would look great and hide any if all imperfections on the stock. Great job so far though!
