This is my latest QB conversion with a AGS stock, I took care this time in cutting out the holes for the trigger and shot counter, so that I could keep the nice manufactures finish on the stock.

The first one I did like this was really a prototype to see what worked and what didn’t, I have kept the shot counter as I find it very useful for predicting when the Co2 is about to fall off in pressure. The power adjuster has been redesigned to fill in a spare section of stock behind the breech, it also has a locking ring to stop the setting from moving.

The main new bit is the breech which is a QB clad in brass, a lot easier and quicker to do. The silencer is clad in shrink tube the type used on tennis racquets handles, it does cut down on any ring you get when firing. I have upped the output to 11flb just inside the UK legal limit for FAC rifles.

Woah......That is one slick unit Al.

Very nice job on the inletting work. It looks flawless.

Your going to have to fill in the details on the power adjuster. Brilliant fit work.

How's it shoot? When does ratting season season begin in the Isles

That is gorgeous.
(Having my first ever CO2 gun now, I can especally see the desire for a shot counter, BTW.)

You also have an FAC and the FAC rifles, don't you?

Thanks for the comments guys, this is now my favourite rifle it is also fitted with one of the best QB barrels I have ever had.

Sean
from a bench it will do 6mm groups at 20m, and the ratting/pigeon season starts when ever I go out to the fields, or when the warm weather comes around.

See the photo’s below for how the power adjuster works, it is basically the same as the original with a bit of cosmetic licence to fill the space behind the breech. The centre shaft has rings cut into it and the adjusting knob screws this shaft in or out according to the power you require, by sliding the cover back you can see what the adjuster is set at and also lock the adjuster when closed.

I have not needed the thumb rest on this stock, strangely it is supposed to be the same as the last stock I used, but it does feel different and shoots better?

Radar
I don’t have an FAC licence anymore I gave it up when they banned powder burning pistols about 12 years ago. And to be honest I haven’t missed it.

I use Autodesk Inventor Professional, very similar to Solid Works. I should add that I didn’t buy it it was given me as payment for some work I did, needless to say I came out on top with the deal. Smile

I'll say....Inventor is big bucks. even if you have a primary license for Cad it's still costly.
I've been looking around but I would like to stay in the confines of a Linux environment.

LT is $995 without subscription no price on Prof Shocked Shocked

I Use the 2009 version which cost new $5250.00 for the full set. but I have just found this site which sells it for $149.00.

http://apps-shop.net/product/autodesk-inventor-professional-2009/

It looks genuine and everything is OEM and as to be downloaded to just one computer. if you could make use of Inventer which comes with AutoCad as well then the price is a very good deal.
