German BSF springer pistol.... beyond that, I have no idea of the model or age.... styrofoam liner, so can't be ancient....

WoW, a "barn find". I thought that only happened with classic cars.

But I agree with rsterne , it's not likely too old. Maybe from the 70's or 80's. Back when McDonald's had Styrofoam containers.

BSF made guns from the 60s through the 80s (I think). I looked it up when a friend of mine came across a nearly identical gun. Look at the markings and find the model number. Then I'll look it up and give you a year spread when it was made.

Is it marked "Made in West Germany" or "Made in Germany"? Again, the model # will be the big detail I need.

Found a reference for it- appears 'BSF' products were brought into the US by a company called Kendall in Kentucky, and then by Beeman in the late 1980s using the Distribution name "Wischo".

It appears 'BSF' only made guns from about 1948 to the late 1980s before being bought out by Weihrauch- who then made a number of BSF-based models that Beeman sold under their own name for a number of years.

All that being said- the gun shown here was probably built in the 1980s based on the packaging and the greater volumes of them being sold in the US at that time.
