Many of you have seen what Alstone refers to as "Slavia's Beenie Hat." I'll admit, it's hideous in its orange splendor - but things could be worse. I could have this squid hat, made by my daughter for her boyfriend (both college graduates):

Haven't seen the beenie hat...squid hat looks well made...kudos to your daughter. 
You should model it...take pictures...post them here...preserved for posterity...and future use. ie blackmail.

I know he will wear it. A while back she made a cloth donkey head for him to wear to an English Dept. party (Bottom the weaver from Midsummer Night's Dream). He continued to wear the donkey head long after the party.
Which, of course, prompted me to ask if he spent the whole time with his head shoved up his "a$$."
She is indeed very good at this sort of thing, although her aesthetic sense is Tim Burton-esque. |

You bet they could be worse.
You could be like the young guy I saw walking down the street a few months back who had his whole head,and face tattooed in squid fashion.The tentacles disappearing down his shirt in the front,and back.Great ink work,but I seriously doubt this guy works in the front office of any local business...   |

Yup,probably the guy who tried"several times" to get me hooked up with satellite TV ....
