To Whom it may concern,

You know the old saying "Better late then Never"? Well, at 50yrs Young, Rolling Eyes I have bought My First Air Rifle and I have to say.... This thing AIN't NO Toy! Laughing I Love it, I've been shooting handguns and Rilfes for years.... I just have never owned a bb or "Pellet Gun" until now.

I finely caved and bought it because I was tired of not getting to shoot when I wanted to.... Now, I step out into my back yard, set up acouple targets and Blast away!
There is one thing about this rifle that I don't like at all.... and that's the "Trigger" I don't like it at all.... So I'll be looking to fix this problem real quick.

Anyhow,.... I've got to go.

Peace Mav.

Welcome to the forum and to the sport!

What kind did you get? There are drop-in trigger replacements for a whole slew of models.

Greetings!!! Only 50 years old... I've got you by a few years and found a new hobby in airguns recently, too. Great way to spend a few hours here and there. Anyway, glad to see another new member!!!

Welcome! More than a few older gents on here. I am 42 myself, and I love this sport! I can't shoot any firearms close to where I live, but I can plink and pest shoot all day long. Good to have you!

Thank You for the Welcome to the Forum. Smile

The Air Rifle I bought... is (According to their Web-Site (1 of 2) NEW models for 2011) GAMO Silent Stalker Whisper" She's a .177 cal. & I bought her from Bass Pro.... First Air-Rifle I got was the Gamo "Silent Stalker" same caliber.... BUT it was alittle louder then what I wanted for shooting in my Back-Yard... Wink

So I brought it back the next day and Swapped her out for the one which I Asked for in the First place.... the>>>-----> Silent Stalker Whisper Over all, I am Very Happy with it. Other then the (IMHO) crappy Trigger! As much money as I paid for her, I have to say, I'm Surprised it doesn't have a Much Better darn Trigger!...? Shocked

PLUS: I went with the UP Graded version with the "NITRO Piston" Cool
This GAMO Silent Stalker Whisper is $80.00 more but it comes with ALOT Better Stuff in the package
#1> Much Better Scope,
#2> Better Scope Mount,
#3> AWESOME Fiber Optic Sights, sweet RED up front with 2 GREENS at the rear! as the SILENT STALKER comes with ZERO Iron Sights!...?
And last but not least
#4>I like the look of the Stock better.

Peace Jeff

PS. Hey Slavia Who's the BEST People to deal with, a good place to buy Said>> "Trigger" as You might have guessed, I know nothing about these "AIRGUNS" (YET! Wink ) FYI: the ONLY triggers I see so far for this is "GTR III" and or "GTR IV" Are these what is most common OR Best to drop in? How much are they?

Welcome to the forum Maverick, lots of knowledgeable people here.
As for the trigger I couldn't agree more with Slavia on the GRT trigger. I replaced my stock trigger with the GRT and it literally makes a world of difference. Enjoy you knew found passion for soon that one airgun will turn into many.

Welcome to air gunning Maverick. I think you'll find this quite a satisfying sport. Air guns can be almost as addictive as crack if your not careful Laughing

I can quit airgunning any time. Really I can! No, seriously! I just don't want to right now cuz I enjoy it so much. I can quit though any time. And no I don't spend too much money on it either. I only have 6 rifles and 6 pistols because each one of them is for something different and I needed them to do their each individual job!
