Ok, so I bought my .22 mrod in june of '09
from mac-1 the day after they went public.
It was very accurate out the gate but began to get very pellet
picky as time went on only grouping with kodiaks in the end.
Having had it sitting dormant for a year from not having
a scuba tank I got it up and running with a new (used) tank.
Groups were now shotgun patterns at 15 yards regardless
of what pellet. 
After taking it back to mac-1 and getting it back last week, Tim had gone over it and put a new barrel on it for a total charge of $0. 
As it turns out, the grooves were only grabbing the pellet in the first
several inches as not making any contact with the choke meaning
the lead was just bouncing around at the end of the barrel. 
It remains a mystery as to how it was accurate for the first few thousand shots.
Now 200 or so rounds into the new barrel I've tried the following
@15-16 yards.
JSB 18.1 heavies
JSB predators
KODIAKS
14.3 CPM
All are shooting one holers!

Nope, not the one that caught a pred thru it's back
flanked. He bled real good. |
