Hello, This is my first post on this forum.

I'm looking for information on an old air rifle I found in my mothers attic. I was able to narrow it down to being a Crosman Town & Country .177 cal.

It's disassembled, and is missing some parts and i'd like to restore it. I was able to make some leather piston seals to verify it will still pressurize and release it.

Based on pictures on the 'net of this model, I've determined that it's missing the all of the pieces that screw onto the front, the rear peep sight and much of the trigger assembly.

I believe it's an older model, based on the fact that there is no built in safety in the stock. All of the parts (with the exception of the trigger, and bolt assembly) appear to be brass. The Stock is intact and in good shape. Identification was initially difficult since there are absolutely no markings on any piece of this gun... no numbers, no words, no logos.

Does anybody have any information that will help me fix this up and be able to shoot it?

Thank You,
Eric

The label "Town and Country" was applied to the models 107, 108, 109 and 110- all built in the late 1940s (as in parts are not too likely to be found easily).

All Crosman T&C's were multi-pump rifles.
Such as a Sheridan Blue Streak/Silver Streak.

Multi-Pump up rifles do not have a piston or piston seal or even a main spring, but instead have a valve which stores the air produced by pumping it up.
Then a hammer and hammer spring is struck when the trigger is pulled and strikes the valve stem releasing the stored air pressure pushing the pellet out the barrel.
This is a Crosman Town & Country 108 .22 cal.
