I have shot Crosman Premiers, Benjamin Discovery, Daisy Precision Max, JSB Diabolo, Predator Polymags and Gamo round balls (all in .22 cal)
The Premier hollow points group best for me. The Gamo round balls have the largest groups and they consistently shoot about an inch low.
I don't know if that's a function of their shape, quality control or both.
I have seen that Gamo pellets do not enjoy good reviews on this site. |

What your seeing is totally normal.
Our resident Ballistics expert Mr Sterne posted a chart on this forum that for me conclusively showed that ALL the pointed pellets were in a lower accuracy class than domed or wadcutter by the same manufacturer. Generally speaking
Here's the link very interesting reading http://www.airgunhome.com/agforum/viewtopic.php?t=6719 |

My Quest, B3-3's, 1377, 2100, and Genesis are very accurate with Crosman pointed cheapies but I'm one of the few people who can say their guns like them. Also my Quest will stack RWS Superpoints. But again, few people get any accuracy with pointed pellets.
It's almost a guarantee to have to re-sight with a different pellet. Then again Polymags and HN Field Target had the exact POI and accuracy out of my XL 1100... |

| Totally normal. Each gun is a little different in its preferences. I usually buy locally, and whenever I see a new type of pellet I try it. If it doesn't work out I use them up on "fun" targets (like tin cans) when precision doesn't count. Or, when someone tells me they have purchased an airgun I have enough of a selection to give them a sampler pack out of my collection. |
