Apart from safety issues you can pretty leave it cocked for a good while. I wouldn't leave it cocked (if I would, because my shooting does not involve waiting with a ready to strike gun) for more then a day but there've been reports that you can leave it like that for a pretty long time, though I can't remember or find the numbers at the moment. Someone else will probably beat me to it.
More practically, if for instance you go hunting, you can have it cocked with the safety on for a day, and discharge it at the end of the day. |
