Air Gun Home Forum Index » Airgun Smithing » Auto Loader II (VIDEO) Goto page 1, 2  Next    View previous topic :: View next topic  Auto Loader II (VIDEO)   Posted: Sun Apr 10, 2011 2:40 pm Alstone Moderator & Site Supporter Joined: 01 Mar 2007 Posts: 4139 Location: Linconshire, ENGLAND This is a prototype I started last year, anyway I have resurrected it and changed a few things, and it now auto loads from a five shot magazine and looks and works better than my original Auto Loader. It is very compact and all the works are contained in the confines of the breech, it takes less effort than my previous model. I should say that the idea for the operating system I got from a photo I saw on the web a couple of years ago, but I haven’t a clue who the inventor is. I have simplified the way it works and the magazine indexing, it is still “work in progress” so I will post updates as and when I get it done, at the moment I have all the main mechanics done and working, All I now need to do is fit it on a 2240 which shouldn’t take too long, I will then video it working. I am building this one in the Art-Deco style as against the Victorian steam engineering style. I can't wait to see it operate! Kinda looks like the Walther LP5/LP50 idea btw. Cut a section out of the bolt, thread both ends, lock a piece of thread in one end and adjust with a nut the other end. You can now set the O ring for maximum efficiency and power, without it covering the port or not sealing properly. I suppose if you used something like a continus loop rubber belt then it would work, it's just a matter of making the belt? I have never been a great fan of Crosman products, but for something to mod you couldn’t find a better gun than there 2240, and this one shoots as well as my Rohm Twinmaster.
