I liked the comment about having to get a "drivers license" to play with toy cars
When did people become so stupid? |

I agree that kids should be taught respect for guns and proper handling from the earliest age possible, but this won't do it.
Kids are bombarded with imaginary violence all day long. Movies are violent. 1950's westerns are violent. Cartoon superheroes are violent. Even Walt Disney is violent. Unless parents are in there teaching them to differentiate between fantasy and reality they're going to be out on the playground karate chopping their friends like they saw on TV. A gun permit for kindergarteners isn't going to foster good parenting.
They're just buying votes from the anti demographic and making the rest pay for those votes through stupid restrictions. |

I have a 9 year old on who handles his buck BB rifle better than some friends handle their glocks and ar-15s. I have pounded it into his head since he was old enough to go BANG. He has actually told one of my friends he was stupid because he was playing with his 10-22 and he wasn't being very safe with it. He told my buddy that he was going to tell his dad that he wasn't being very responsible. I thought I was going to die laughing listening to my boy, but he was right. I do know my buddy hasn't been out to go squirrel hunting since then.
Come to think of it, his dad always looked down on us because we weren't as politically correct as they were. We had rifles, we went deer hunting and we processed our own meat. I remember him yelling at my dad for giving Rick our old sports afield magazines after we were done with them. He said he would never sink so low as to eat wild game, calling it beastly and that we would catch some kind of disease sooner or later from it. I told him he was a prick, but my dad gave me crap for calling him that. My dad said that when it comes right down to it, if we had to survive we would, but there would be a lot that didn't. I do know that if something bad would happen, like what is going on in japan right now, my boys, wife and I would have a lot more going on than most.
I never really realized it till I saw what was going on in japan, but I could do just about anything to collect food with what was around me. I could make shelter, and I would be able to keep my family safe after the damage was done. Is Ricks dad downing the people that he would have to depend on for food and a safe place? Probably, but I would get an apology first. lol
The licenses aren't a bad idea, but there others that would be better. |

| I fortunately don't have much of a problem of that where I live. I lost my wallet recently and I just had to have a note from my doctor to get my license back. lol |

You also have to fill in form nr. 0038 which states that one is allowed to fill in form nr. 0003 so he can apply for the files in which certain data can be found on how to proceed with the procedure to obtain said note in order to get aforementioned license.
