I sometimes find that when I am about to pull the trigger after carefully sighting a target, the butt slips and you have to start all over again.
Having tried different butt materials with out success I got hold of some of this material, it’s called appropriately Grip Tape and is used in the textile industry for pulling cloth off machines etc, this stuff hangs on to any material and will not slip.
It is made from a knitted base fabric with short tuffs sticking up which are quite stiff, this is coated with rubber so that just the tips are sticking out, this tape comes in 2” / 50mm wide strips and is used extensively in the textile industry , It can be glued, screwed or nailed on to anything and will last a life time, perfect for gun butts.

Interesting. Any names of companies that manufacture this stuff?
It almost looks like a very short-haired outdoor carpet- but obviously must be alot more "grabby" than that would be. |

I,ve sent a few e-mails off to some companys I know in North America, who might be able to tell me where it is obtainable over there.
We'll see what comes back.
