Well I did a trigger job on my 2260, & it worked great.

So now I did trigger jobs on my 2250 guns.

I got some of the lightest springs I could find a Ace hardware, then I polished the trigger & the sear, with a dremel.
Then I used the wire wheel that came with it.

Then lastly, I used their polish compound, & did the polishing.

Well then I was looking for something to use for a spring guide.
Then I used the same poly tube that I have used & so many others for the transfer port seal mod. It fit’s the spring & the notch in the frame great.

I warmed it up with my wife’s hair dryer, ( when she not home of course!! )
Then I it shaped it. Cut it to length you want to make it a little shorter than the spring.

When you install on the gun hold the frame look at the from the side, work the trigger.

You want the sear to go down, just passed the frame a little.
It will be stopped by the spring guide. So it will make the action of the trigger short & act as trigger stop. So you will end up with a short & very smooth trigger, without the long over travel!

Man it works great, so now anyone can do this mod, you don’t need a lathe, or have to pay for one! So this stuff can be used for other things also!

Now all five of my 2250’s have spring guides with very light trigger!

Nice idea! I have one question, however; how well does the poly tube hold up when heated? In the case of transfer port work- it wouldn't matter if it heated up and got squishy (it might actually do an even better job that way)- but as a guide/stop- if the gun was heated up by sitting in the sun for awhile and you pulled the trigger- do you think it would deform or damage the tubing and require replacing?

Should be ok, I don't think their gun will get that hot.

And you sure don't want it in the sun with a fill in the gun. And getting that hot any way.

What does a spring guide do besides prevent trigger over travel? I dont really understand how over travel will negativly effect your shooting.

The overtravel might ('might') affect accuracy if there is alot of lag time between when the valve is opened and the gas is being released to when the pellet leaves the muzzle- any further 'pull' on the trigger might pull the gun to one side before the pellet has exited. This is only a "could happen" sort of situation- I think one of the biggest reasons for the spring guide is to eliminate some of the trigger slop.
