The Benjamin units use the GTX II, or 'tunas copy-the GRT III. Remingtons and Crosman-branded units use the NCT ('tuna also copied it) trigger.
Bipods and springers don't work well together- think a sandbag or something else relatively soft/movable. |

Thanks, I am still at a loss, nothing on CDT's site claim to be 100% sure if their trigger will work or not. It can't even tell me what to look for, as far as weather it will work or not? I do thank the man for making it kinda clear, but to spend the loot and not know if it's going to work is vary questionable
Just seams to me that their would be some thing for this gun. It's got great sale reports for quite a while now. Why won't some one start making mods for it????
-- trigger
-- open sights
Thanks again Eric |

Go to Airguns of Arizona's website: http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/
Select "Custom Triggers, NCT" and see which model numbers it is designed for. If yours is not listed, it is the GTX II you need to use.
Forget 'tuna... |

I have had good luck with the plastic RamLine clamp-on bipod. It is light and doesn't grip the barrel very tightly, so the gun can move. I use it on a Crosman G1 when I'm shooting at 100 yards. I use a spirit level on that gun, and the bipod grips the barrel lightly enough so I can adjust cant for each shot (so a moveable shroud shouldn't matter).
On the down side you have to remove it for each shot to be able to cock the gun. If you want the bipod partly for looks, this won't work. Like Eric said, anything that looks cool and tactical will reduce your accuracy because it's rigidly mounted.
(I trimmed mine to be a little shorter.)

| I ended up getting the GRT-III trigger for my Trail XL 1100 and it took all of 5-10 minutes to install it. I did not know what a "bad" trigger was until I swapped out the old one and felt how good the new one was. Best ~30 bucks I have spent on the gun. |

You really should research what you state before you state it Eric.Hear Say isn't a good thing. For a fact,,Bob Werner copied no one's trigger! Forums are great places,,but not when people post threads and have no idea what the deal is.
Not nice to make False statements.
I myself have 4 of his trigger's and they are the best I've seen.I bought mine from the man that designed it,,not from the man who tried to claim he designed it. |

Do your research- Werner copied Steve Woodward's products- in fact he sold Woodward's products until they had a falling out a few years ago and then continued to sell copies of the Woodward units. His newer trigger for the Remington/NPSS's also appeared 6 months after Woodward's NCTs were on the market and are very similar.
The only trigger he appears to have designed thus far without using Woodward's units as a template are the newest Gamo GRT-4G, all other units are copies and/or very nearly copies.
Who do you presume to be, coming out here and in your first and only post are an expert on the history of things? You can be a "fan" of anyone you like- but it doesn't change the history or the facts. And to flat-out be calling me a liar on your first post is so outright over the top I can't believe you are here for any other reason than to troll for conflict and be a disruptive, useless entity. Go ahead, prove me wrong... |

Where's your proof that he stole the trigger from Woodward?
Changing your mind isn't going to happen as you've already made up your mind. First Post or 100th post doesn't change the fact. What proof can you offer to support what you are accusing an honest man of doing,(because Woodward say's so)?
Apparently you do not know CDT and you've chosen to take someone's word when the paperwork proves different.
I'm not accusing you of being a liar,,I'm stating that you don't know the situation and have chosen to believe what you believe and that's that.
The question I have is,How do you know that he stole Woodward's product,And not the other way around? The people that produce the triggers seem to know the story, but if you know more than they do,Please pass on the info and if proven,,I'll Apologize and we can move on.From what I know of Bob and the dealing's I've had with him,(Along with Friends that know his character),to state that a honest man of more years than we've been around, for just the word of one party, over the proof in the paperwork is just unfair because you choose to take one side.
I wouldn't buy the trigger's until I found out who deserved the money.
I don't mind being wrong,,but I'd also like to know I' wrong.
Fill me in and I'll be more than happy to acknowledge my mistake.Something's not right with the situation and perhaps you know more,so I don't mind being enlightened. Thanks |

Btw,don't you find it strange that every time someone posted actual proof to the fact on the yellow and also Woodwards site that it was deleted before anyone could read it?I had one of my post's deleted about a year ago when I asked how it could be true and offered what proof there was and my post didn't make it 165 minutes and was deleted. I find that a bit suspicious as well if someone is trying to convince everyone he's in the right,,don't you? Thanks |

Oh and Btw Eric,Sorry if you thought I was calling you a liar. That wasn't what I meant personally.I was more ticked that knowing Bob's character an and knowing the Honest man he is,,well I just find it strange that no one can ever speak the Truth about the situation and not have their Posts deleted before anyone see's them. And this has happened many times.
Thanks |

I can't speak for what any other online forums do/have done in your specific respect. I don't think it would be unreasonable to assume that the issue is old and has been talked about ad infinitum- therefore dedicating resources (webspace and time) to the topic is generally a waste of everyone's efforts.
Some things to note: Werner was a poster on the "yellow" when he and Woodward were still 'partners'- once he went off and started selling copies of the Woodward-designed triggers, he was then banned as the prevailing opinion at the time and of the people who had known the history of their 'arrangement' felt Werner was indeed being less-than-honest and stealing someone else's work. Unfortunately, it appears the rather heavy-handed way in which some people and topics may be treated on some forums only encourages "conspiracy" thinking, to the detriment of many people.
As for what one "feels" about a person with whom they are not acquainted with socially- this may not be at all accurate- Woodward is also a very outgoing, honest guy from what anyone (myself included) can tell, he does business regularly making items for one of the larger US-based airgun dealers, and has designed quite a number of products beyond just a couple triggers (none of which is in dispute as to he being the one who designed them). I have met many lying sacks of sh!t who come across quite personably and legitimately- not that I'm saying this of Werner or anyone else right now- but a "perception" of a person 3000 miles away is not necessarily any indicator of reality. |

Your exactly right, enough web space has been used on the topic as as they always say,,there's 3 sides to every story, both sides and then the Truth.
It's not really worth a forum friendship to be ruined before it starts and you could very well be right on the money.
I've always been a good judge of character,,but no one's perfect.
Anyway,,I should have not really bothered stirring up something on such a subject as this without being right there when it all went down.
So for that I apologize.Next time I'll think before letting my fingers do the talking, lol. And in truth,,it doesn't affect either of us either way.Sorry about that.''Statement Retracted''.
Thanks
P/S: I always listen more than I speak,,and that's probably the best way to do it. |
