| That is an interesting gun and the information at Archer sounds good but the location of the scope is not very convenient IMO. |

| Like I need another springer. This would fit the bill for a camping gun perfectly though |

It is, as stated a QB-57. It is very accurate at 10m, and holds fairly well out to 30m, accuracy wise, though that is about its limit.
Donec, FYI the scope it placed where it is for a very good reason. The gun is meant to break down for portability (it's a great backpacking gun...really keeps the campsite free from small pests).
The scope is place on the barrel so that when you break it down and re-assemble it the scope remains zeroed.
Quite ingenious, actually. |

I had not thought of that. With that in mind then the scope position if it has enough eye relief sounds workable even if it does look odd to me. |

FPS GOT ME THINKING SO I WENT TO THE SOURCE
Thanks for your message and your interest in Archer Airguns!
Yes, the QB57 has a rifled barrel in both calibers.
We quote the manufacturer's muzzle velocity specifications for our air rifles and do not arbitrarily inflate them for marketing purposes.
Also, because we offer our "Gold Service" testing - where we can individually test the rifle for our customers - we obviously need to be able to demonstrate that the muzzle velocity of your gun (approximately) matches those specifications.
Please go to our blog (link below) and search for QB57. You will see two posts with comprehensive performance data for the QB57, including muzzle velocity data in both calibers. We've tested hundreds of these air rifles and, as you will see, have never found one that achieves 750fps with the heavy, wadcutter pellets we use for testing. But, you will see that the manufacturer's spec for muzzle velocity is very realistic and representative of actual performance for this product.
Best regards,
Stephen Archer
