just got these little beauties tonight during a nice mellow session. one is 5/16 the other is 1/4 inch 5 shot group just over 20 meters. rifle has less than 100 shots total through her. shes a shooter! money well spent for the budding target shooter i think. cheers! walt

| Nice groups but... more importantly... I'm in Bel Air and work in Sparks. If you ever want someone to shoot with just let me know. |

Nice shooting Walter things are getting better. I don't know whether you can get Air-Arms Fields over there but if so try a tin as these shoot nicely in an HK, it may be a bit early yet but you should get hole on hole at 20 m using a bench rest, if it doesn’t happen then try a different domed pellet.

One ragged hole in each target. Great work! |

im resting my open palm on a sand bag and shouldering the butt as usual. not usind any support for the rear at all. trying to master this before i try free standing. this rifle is HEAVY so that doesnt sound like fun. i wouldnt mind standing for squirrels but not for the bullseye. walt. |

Great shooting Walter!
Wish I could put down a one holer at 20 m.... sadly I'm not there yet.
And I group like a shotgun offhand because it's so heavy. (not really that bad, but bigger than 1.5"at 25 yards). Sigh..... |

thanks guys. it gotten really cold and breezy here so im getting shut out for resuming my quest to shrink past 1/4 inch by good old mother nature. at least im almost finished my first 500 tin of jsb. another 500 and i should be well on my way to having my new friend properly run in. i cant wait for spring and summer! its going to be great sitting at the bench in a t-shirt and flip flops instead of 2 hats 3 coats and a propane heater blasting away. once i get my first 5 shot group through a single ragged hole i will have to celebrate somehow. searching for a shooting glove setup atthe moment to help me out. my pulse is messing with my aim. walt. |

| Walt could you post in detail your setup? I am new to this so the more detail you could provide would help me. Did you purchase that rifle with the scope and everything? Great shooting by the way. I just purchased a Gamo whisper .177. I was kind of disappointed with the groups I was getting, but it sounds like I need to break her in and try some different ammunition. Thanks for the help! |

here is my new setup. its a stock 97k with a sportsmatch one piece adjustable mount and leapers 3x9x40 mil-dot scope. im shooting at homemade duct seal silent pellet traps at approx. 20 yrds away at the rear of my yard. using jsb at the moment and have almost finished my second tin of 500. getting great groups at the moment but its quite windy and cold now. of coarse i keep my baby indoors as my setup is out side in the garage. i built my shooting bench from scrap i had lying around as well. the benifit of being a carpenter. i have a thin plastic ribbon hanging over my targets so i can tell when its calm and a good time for tight groups. im shooting from inside my garage out the window when cold and will move the bench outside to the patio when the spring time comes. cant wait. walt.

Looking good now Walter. What have you filled your rest with?
I have one similar filled with sand, and find that if I fold a duster a few times and put it between the rifle and rest, I can shoot good groups at 30 m.
