I have an older, high miles Webley Tempest pistol that's just not as powerful as it used to be. Last night, I shot a rat from a couple feet away and it didn't even penetrate. He jumped, ran a few steps, and looked back as if to say "Jackass..." then walked away.

Any advice on fixing or having it fixed? Anybody out there who specialises in these? It's a nice little gun. I like the over barrel design. Good barrel length in a compact enough package to stick in a pocket. I've had it for years and got it from a friend who used it a bunch. I'd hate to have it relegated to disuse. But if it doesn't even kill rodents at close range when I get that close, it isn't really pulling it's own weight.

I remember the Tempest.I had one in 1990-1991,which I bought from the Beeman store here in Santa Rosa Ca.They were a great little pistol. If you feel comfortable doing the work yourself, here is a link for parts though it's located the U.K.Other than that I Don't know of anyone who specializes in the Tempest/Hurricane pistols/parts here in the States.

Thanks. I ordered a new mainspring and a seal. I'll let the forum know how it goes when I 'go inside'.
