I'm thinking of buying an air rifle mostly for hunting, will set up a 10 yard range in the basement and want to particapate at some local fun compititons. Hunting is my main goal.
I'm thinking about a Benjamin Trail NP 1100 22 cal and am looking for some advice. I like the looks of the gun. Their quiet. With a heavy slug I'm good for 50 yard shots and they are cheap to own.
I/m a 48 year old guy. |

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Sniper I've read that article and believe I'm getting what I want. I am wondering if anyone owns this and can share their shooting experiences with it.
FYI I'm more interested in long accurate shots for the challange of it more than 10 yard challanges in the basement. I'm not saying I'm a good shot. I don't have much shooting experience but that's my motivation. If I can pick up a few squirrel & rabbit recipes along the way that would be great.
I've ordered the gun and am excited to start shooting with it. |

If that article is in fact true, then I think you're going to get a pretty good break-barrel rifle..I had the original version (Crosman NPSS) in .22 caliber.....it left a lot to be desired as far as I was concerned, at that point in time. Looking back- I think it was more "my fault" than the gun's.....
hope it works out for ya...we'll be looking for pictures when you get it....and an initial impression, shortly thereafter |

| I looked at the NPSS too but like the wood stock. They were the same price so what the heck I ordered the pretty one. |

I went with the synthetic...using in deep woods for squirrels, a wood stock would look pretty rough in no time |

you will need some practice for accuracy with that rifle. there is another thread going on with it and the NPSS right now.
I've not shot the XL but have shot an NPSS.
what I can say about a gas ram IMO is that there really isn't
much difference between hold sensativity than that of a good
springer. ( I have many springers).
that being said. hitting an egg at 60+ yards is possible.
you just need to take the time and learn the rifle as
you would a woman. yes airguns are "fussy" that way. |

As long as you don't spell it with a double "Z" then I guess that's okay. |

| One more thing to mention is that most airguns seem to prefer one type/manufacturer over another. So be sure to buy a bunch of different pellets to see which one your new airgun likes. Good luck and enjoy. |

Hi . I'm also a new member here and i own a NP XL1100 . I don't know if i should post my thoughts on the rifle as i hopefully did get a dud .
What i can tell you is , the gun looks the part . I think it looks like my buddies 308 rifle . It's a large , long heavy rifle . I found the scope to be fairly good , the rifle is well made with some nice looking wood for the stock . The trigger is a little heavy . I tred adjusting it down a bit but still needs to come down more . Thats about all i can tell you about the good stuff for the rifle . |

I will say don't give up on the gun, would also suggest you go for the XL. Very pellet sensitive ( box premiers ) Great gun!! I get consistent 1/2 patterns at 30- 55
I didn't really find it to be hold sensitive -- maybe I'm just lucky on this one
Power heck yeah
Quite (IMHO) very!!
I LOVE THIS GUN
Disco next?
don't give up on the gun |
