10) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
11) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries, only one entry for each, but all rules must be followed.
12) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
13) An honourable contest for sport- to lie or cheat, is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!
14) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
15) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others

I don't have a good camera and my new laptop wouldn't work with the scanner. But I don't think anyone will contest a score of 252.

It's been a long time since I shot anything, so this is learning all over for me.
Thanks for the fun. Mr. Green

gun: Avanti 853 in a 753 stock w/match sights
Pellet: Gamo Match Wad .177
Dist/Pos: 10m / Standing
Score 235
Time Darn near the full 15 Min.

I have always said that open sights and my eyes do not get along but I've been hunkering for a 10m rifle. Picked up a used 853 in a 753 stock for a very decent price and i have to admit... I think I'm doing pretty well with it. I've only had it a few days. I could just barely make out the center dot at 10m, there was no seeing the rings. I really enjoyed shooting with those sights. I don't see myself investing in a high dollar match rifle but maybe something a step up.

Hi guys. The last week or so I've been following this forum and looking at the various targets in the bi-weekly competitions. It looks like a lot of fun so I thought I would participate. I've shot some of the targets from previous weeks and liked the variety.

A little bit of history... I've had an air rifle for a number of years and an old Crosman pellet gun since I was a kid, but I hadn't been shooting for quite a while. Since I got back into it, the bug has bitten me hard. I recently bought a Baikal IZH-46M and have been having a blast shooting it.

Once I figure out how to attach an image, I will post the current weeks' target. It will probably be tomorrow since I still need to scan it and I will be heading to work shortly.

Once last thing... What size is normally used when posting targets to this topic? I don't want the file to be huge, but want it large enough to be easily viewed. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to be using a camera or scanner.

Thanks

Welcome to AirGunHome SSFox.

Glad to hear you like the targets, a bit of variety does no harm, as for the target size if you reduce it to around 800 x 600 pixel it will be ok.

PS: To attach an image use the "Add image to post" link at the botton of the new message page, and follow the instructions.

This was my first time shooting in competition, even as informal as it is, it made a bit of a difference (made it easier to screw up). One of the targets I really liked from previous weeks was the progressively smaller circles, but the difference between a 20 point hit and 0 was only a couple of mm. This one was much more forgiving.

In the past, I sucked shooting with a pistol. With the Izzy, I suck less. :-) Did I mention I really like it?

Hopefully, I'll get a chance to sight in my rifle to 10m and have a go with it too.
