You know your going to get one then take it apart to get some more FPS out of it. Seems like 560 -600 is slow for the .177

520-580fps.

If you look it over- the whole purpose of the gun is for target shooting practice using the AR-15 platform- not as a "standalone" gun per se. If it were, I think they would have a tough sell at $1200.00 They have picked a market where they obviously believe people would spend $1200.00 to be able to save a pile in money (not using live ammunition) and time (cleaning constantly) in order to practice for competitions.

This is not to suggest they could not make a 1000fps version- but who would want a single-shot t-bolt cocking gun like this for $1200.00 + dollars?

Might be fun, but I think I'd rather go for a .22 conversion kit or the full out Colt M4 in .22.

but then you couldn't use it in the back yard.

i wonder if the complete unit would need an ffl to purchase? or could they send directly to my home? since the lower is the part that has the serial #.

What makes you think you might need a federal firearms license?

an AR lower reveiver is an "assult gun". any upper isn't.
you can buy uppers all day cash and carry. they don't have
the trigger, hammer and sear. the upper is an "accessory".

and if the complete gun with the .22 pellet upper with the lower reciever i would assume one would need an ffl or a ffl dealer to ship it too. or would these be reclassified as an air rifle? if so one could order one of these and .223 uppers and have em shipped directly to one's house cutting out the middle man with an ffl. on a side note my mk3 the upper is the serealised part and the lower with the trigger, sear and hammer isnt and i had to get an ffl dealer to ship my pac lite barrel too which sucks. the lower can be sold and bought without an ffl. buy a complete ar and you can pretty much swap out any upper any calaber anytime you would want.

ok guys if im reading this right you are just buying a upper to fit to your lower for 1100 smackers

quote from site
How can we do that? Half of the answer is already in your hands, your personal AR-15 lower receiver. The other half is the new BF-17 upper that houses an air rifle action made by Pilkguns. The BF-17 upper

if you go to pricing they show complete gun but click details it just shows upper
