Sold both my .177 caliber guns my Sporter Disco and my 1377C pistol...NOW I need another .177 caliber ...rifle...anyone here have or know anything about the BAM B-51???? Their ad says amazing stuff (imagine that ) , "search" turned up nada, so I'd like to hear form someone that has seen, held, and shot one TIA............

run away!!! tim stopped selling them (mac-1).
i remember them being around $300.
they are similar in size and weight as a marauder.
he said they take 2 hours worth of work to make

they are known as the "chuntsman"- a clone
of the daystate "huntsman".
i considered one as my first pcp.

Why did you sell the Disco?

I have heard some good things about them when extensive tuning is complete. This was on the Yellow forum a while ago.

Like a fool, I went and put a wood stock on it ...an AR2078A stock which I had always thought looked so good....and it did, but it was heavier than I like, a little longer than I like-not very carbine-like....and I couldn't shorten barrel because of the airtube..2250, TalonSS and-the-like are more my style---but it was a lot of fun building it, re-working stock to fit the 2260 action Cool

Neat, accurate gun ...just wasn't excatly what I think I want......

Like you Bob, I've heard ( actually read) some good stuff about them..haven't run across any negative comments until now..I know Roy at Mountain Air is selling them (after a $100 tune job) and since I own a Mountain Air 2250B, I figured it to be of good quality. It was my thought to maybe get one and install one of that Vincent guy's regulators in it. My problem is finding guns under 7 lbs. max. Seems like if it has a wood stock it's heavier than that..I've seen some that are over 10 lbs and like 46 inches long Shocked

They're tune guns. You buy em, you finish em. They should be quite easy to work on though. I seen a lot of Bams over here and most of them were tuned way up to ridiculous powerlevels. Mr. Green

Seen em in calibers ranging from .177 past 9mm

it's not that their not good shooters it's the work invovled.
tim said it takes 2 hours work and $30 in parts
for each one which bam won't give him the parts
for free to get the bugs out. hence not worth his time.
so yes it is an unfinished gun. Rolling Eyes

i'm remembering 25fpe in .22.
can't help in .177. Crying or Very sad

EXCELLENT info guys, thanks a whole bunch..the $100.00 tune up Mountain Air does is more than likely doing the things needed like you guys are talking...Well, no BAM! for me...Still eyballing renegade, hale storm and BSA ultra!!
