This doesn't qualify as hunting, but it sure was fun.Today I was dialing in the Barska red dot on my 2300KT custom,in my little indoor range. While shooting some decent groups I caught some movement from the corner of my eye.It was a little rat bastard about 12 yards out, just to the side of the ivy!I was shooting Crosman field/hunting pellets in .22,but after seeing this little fur ball I reached for the crow mags.I had about half a 12 gram left in the pistol so I figured It would be all clear for the shot.I slowly opened the window,as he was darting in,and out of the ivy,and waited. After about three minutes he came out,and showed me a side profile,so it was time.I put the red dot on center mass, squeezed, and was rewarded with a loud THWACK.The rat did a back flip about 8-9 inches off the ground, and was sent back into the ivy a$$ over tea kettle.I have yet to find the little bastard,so no pics guys...sorry.I'm sure he's somewhere in the ivy though. The pellet hit HARD so I'm pretty sure his ticket got punched........ Twisted Evil

Absolutely...The M-rod's make the impact sound appear that much louder.Wink Twisted Evil

I like the KT's 5-6 fpe,as the Disco's 28-30 fpe with the RVA cranked would have been unsafe for this particular shot....It would have been interesting to see if there was an exit wound.... Mr. Green

at 5-6 fpe i would think so. i shot one once at 10 yards with my crosman
760 with six pumps/rws super point.

that's like 375 fps/3fpe? it didn't exit.

nor did the bastard ever twitch once.

i'd like to try a 28.4 EJ @ 400fps from my 392. Twisted Evil
that's only 3-4 pumps in that rig. Twisted Evil

you be suprised what those numbers zip through. Twisted Evil

1/2 inch pine board no problem.

Yeah..I remember the 760 I used to have,it's actually a good little shooter.I think the KT is gonna be the perfect little close range rat popper.Don't get me wrong...If a shot is safe,I'd love to peel one at 12 yards with the Disco/Crow mag....it would be interesting.... Twisted Evil
