But I still haven't gotten my hands on them.
Here are some parts of them posted:
Umarex AM850 info (German)
I, unfortunately, never learned German as a child (despite my poor old grandmother's wishes)- so I have no idea what that page is all about, or what that entire site is all about. It appears to be some sort of reference site for airgun specs and such(?)
Anyone around here speak German and can give us an idea of what's what there? Maybe Broommaster who's in the Netherlands could help?
If someone also wants to email the site administrator in his native tongue to see if he might have a copy of the complete schematics to share, I wouldn't object (nudge, nudge, wink, wink ). |

I'll get to it when my running nose is caught, when my eyes stop bleeding and when I get some medicine for my ridiculous headache.

If you go to the link for Umarex 850 on the first post.
Copy the URL in the box at the top of the page.
Go to Google search and paste the URL in, click search.
Google will come up with the Umarex 850 site as the only result, but it will ask if you want it translating, click "Translate page" . Hey Presto!
Or try this
Google link translated

The site http://www.muzzle.de is a German airgun forum which do a lot of reviews on co2, springers etc, go to the above URL and click on the English flag.
It's the best review of airguns on the web.

Doh! Guess I should've tried that!
Well, the English link on the main page is only for the site "introduction"- none of the contents are available in English.
So, the google translator it is. Never much liked automated translators- always confuse contexts and such- but for airguns it is mainly factual information (we hope) so translation is not so bad.
Al- did you see about halfway down the page that it had a factory-supplied dual 12g caplet canister? Not that you're still looking for another gun- but they did/do have one specifically for the AirMagnum. |

Yes I did notice the duel capsul conversion, that could come in handy if you have an airgun that takes 88g bottles and just want a few quick shots, because I should think that like most duel capsul airguns you can use just one capsul for about 20-30 shots.

| Aha. Good tip. I saw those same pictures a few days ago (someone here pointed it out- 'rbva' I think) and I've saved the pictures to post up- but forgot about it until you mentioned it! I'll do that soon. |

| Hm, so it's seems that it's pretty much easily convertable to a PCP, or the other way around... |

Yah, it looks that way. I'm surprised they used brass for the valve! That brass piece that goes into the air cylinder also doesn't have a very long threaded section. The cylinder will hold 300bar/4350psi, so I wonder if it has a regulator in it?
Given the way that brass section goes into the cylinder, perhaps there is a valve (like a pin valve) in it so cylinders can be changed on the fly. Note there are no venting holes in the valve body (unlike the 850's valve).
If you read the other posts in that thread you will discover someone converted their 850 AirMagnum to PCP by using a regulated tank and changing a spring (I assume the hammer spring from the comments). They are getting 900+ fps! Cool! |

| The 1250 valve is also a/the regulator from what I could find on it a couple months ago (thus it's ability to shoot 1200+ fps). But yes, any Co² gun can be converted to PCP easily enough with a bottle that has its own regulator- it just becomes a matter of how much pressure the stock valve in the gun can take before locking up! |

| I agree that a regulator is unnecessary, but that threaded section is brass and doesn't look long enough for the strength needed to hold 4350 psi. That is why I suspect a regulator is built into the air cylinder. |

You could be right- the idea that the 1250 (and in turn the AM850) were based on the LG300 platform I got from Umarex- but it may have been some sort of ad copy and the idea they are of the same design may be akin to "all Co² guns are based on the same design"- i.e. fairly meaningless. Broomaster pointed out the obvious- that the loading systems were totally different, so too perhaps the regulator setup.
Looking it over- the regulator on the LG300 seems obviously larger and plugs into the receiver alot more solidly (although the same basic layout of the parts is similar):
LG300 parts (PDF)
Compared to the Dominator 1250 valve setup:
I guess the "proof" would be if Umarex sells a different version of the air reservoir for each power level of the gun (they offer a couple of different versions of the gun with different output levels). |

Here are the rest of the 1250 parts in the event they disappear from the German site:

I don't think they will sell different air reservoir versions, the guns would just have different valves. Like the two valves available for the Umarex 850 (the standard valve and the 16 joule export valve).
I noticed from the LG300 document that the Druckminderer (part# 51 - Pressure-reducing valve) has a 21J and a 16J version. Does anyone know if the air reservoir for the LG300 has a built-in regulator? Does anyone know if part# 51 is made out of brass? The tip of part# 51 looks the same as the tip of the Dominator 1250 valve except they don't show the threads in the diagram.
I'm guessing that the LG300 air reservoir is probably used for the Dominator 1250 and that you are correct about the LG300's basic air system being the same as the 1250. |
