| My wife was looking at a IZH 60 and wanted to know if it would be good for paper targets and cans at 50 meters and of course since I don't have one I said I'd ask here? It only has 490 ft/sec velocity in .177 cal. but is supposed to be very accurate at 10 meters. |

| 50 meters it would not be accurate.10 meters would probably be right where accuracy starts to degrade. |

I've shot one of the IZH61 extensively (same rifle but a repeater).
At 30yds, on a windless day it had no problem putting 5 shots in a quarter sized area with a scope.
50 yds would be a stretch (unless your trying to outdo Quigley Down Under)...but it's definitely capable of more than 10 yds. |

The MP-60 can definitely hit at 10 meters. With mine i can nail a coke can at 30 yards easy. I cant hit very much at 40 yards but i think that's mainly poor trigger control on my part. I don't think it would be very good at 50 meters tho. It too weak for that.
As far as being good for paper targets is most certainly is. It has a very light trigger pull only around 1.5-2 pounds. Which is nice but it also DOESN'T have any safety so you would need to be careful once you load it.
In summation, the MP-60 or MP-61 would probably not work for a 50 meter target AG but would excellent for a 10-30meter target AG. |
