I was wondering about the "artillery hold" I came across on the net. This is a technique for balancing the rifle on the hand and releasing the shot without any sort of solid grip to steady the rifle or absorb recoil. This is said to allow the rifle to respond freely to the discharge forces and give consistent results improving accuracy. I have tried it with my HW77 and it seems to work OK.
Maybe others have more info ?

That's kind of the thing to make springers work.

If you shoot springers and don't know about this (yet) you better start reading up a bit. Exclamation
