A couple of weeks ago I wanted to show off my HW90 to someone, and it wouldn't cock. I took it apart the night before in the shed, and guess what, something had fallen out but it didn't seem a big deal. I didn't check it out.
Because I was to busy I couldn't get around to fixing it. and I forgot about it. Then, cocking the gun in front of my buddies: Double dang it, it won't cock!
So, I took the trigger guard off. This rifle has had it's safety removed, quite crudely (Will post pics later, mum's picking up some batteries, we're preparing for Christmas ). When I attached the trigger guard, it would somehow cock the safety, before I cocked the gun. So I went out into my ol' mans tool closet (we got a closet filled with old tools, mostly useless stuff unless you're into plumbing) to quest for these darn spacers. Guess what, none of em would fit. So I asked my dad and he turned up with one that seemed bit large but would probably fit.
And boy did it fit. I am once again a happy camper. Gun cocks as smooth as ever, gonna take it outside in a couple of minutes. I bet I'm more rusty then the gun.
On a side note: I know for a fact that the previous previous owner doesn't care about safeties, and he refurbished the whole thing. He made it shoot the way it shoots now, and that's pretty darn smooth. There's an interesting topic on that matter on LB.net. The pics tell epic tales. |
