| Okay, Wednesday somebody tried to kick my front door in with me and my boys in the house. I'm having ADT put in monday. I remember seeing on the forum somewhere where they had paintballs filled with mace power. Seeing as I can't own a real firearm does this sound plausible? I tried search and coulkdn't find it. anybody else remember these? |

That's probably a good bet.
May I ask why you can't own a burner? Can the wife?
The electric shock style stun guns (like Legend mentioned) seem like a good idea. Some police departments use them to good effect. |

Arm EVERYONE. When the playing field isn't even, the creepers come out.
The best bet would be for the wife to purchase a gun that you both could use. In the event YOU had to pull the trigger, it would be life or death, and they are in YOUR home. |

| I found the site. It's called pepperball.com I can't own a firearm because I have a past felony. These look like the ticket. ADT comes monday, And as soon as they do I can quit sleeping on the couch to guard the front door so my 8 year old can sleep. |

Hi Todd,
Sorry to hear of this experience you had recently.Being that you have a past record,it might be wise to talk with your local Police Dept.about what you can,and cannot use to defend your family. That way you can document who you spoke with, and what was said,so you can "CYA" should something happen in the future.I don't agree with banning a person from having a firearm to defend themselves "In some cases".You made a mistake in your past, and have paid the price, done your time,or whatever.Unfortunately the law is the law,and they are strict about the firearm issue, and other devices for defense purposes. It would be horrible to have to do time in the joint for defending yourself, and your kids....good luck. |

I would have to agree with mark here. Sapposedly you are reabiltated once you've served your time. But here in the real world we all know that's not true.
A fine example would be a friend of mine's fiance'. He did something wrong, regrets it, but because of this one mistake that happened when he was just barely 18, he can never own a gun. The laws in the state my friend lives in is so strickt that she now must sell all of her knives, swords and other medevil weapons she's collected for the past 20 years. Because any one of them would put him in violation of his parole.
Of course they don't take into concideration she has a full cutlery set in the kitchen... Like nobody has ever killed anyone with a steak knife before... |

Yeah that would work....I'd love to see the headline in the local paper on that one..."Intruder gets tuned up with a golf club".Classic.... It kind of reminds me of when I was in college. Some pervert decided to try to assault a female student, right outside of a martial arts class. He got chased into a bathroom by about 15 students, and received.....well a tune up.The cops came, and he got a Super tune up. |
