I decided to try a little something with my tuned .177 Quest.
(926fps with 7.9gr pellets )After talking to Mike Melick at Flying Dragon Airguns
(http://www.adventuresinairguns.com/tuning-services-from-mike-melick-p-201.html)
I wanted to know if I could put a CR Quest action in a TH B26-2 high comb stock.
His answer was yes but I would have to do a little in-letting to make it happen.
A couple of hours on a Bridgeport mill and here it is.(old stock below)
I always wanted a Thumbhole Stock Rifle but didn't want to spend the big bucks to get one.
Cost to me
Crosman Quest 1000X $89.95 (K-Mart)
Used B26-2 Thumbhole Stock $30 shipped
$5.39 tax
--------------
Total
$125.34

Wow that looks SO much better.
How is that TKO break doing on cutting down the sound?
Now I would put in a Grt-III trigger in it,made all the difference in my old Quest! |
