doesn't look like it's keyholeing to me (base on the target shown).
if it's not keyholeing, then you don't have any stability issues and you relaly don't need to rely on drag stabilization. (like a shuttlecock). You may want to try some longer ranges to see if the pellets are still stable. I wouldn't worry about accuracy yet. Just make sure they are stable first. |

Years ago i swaged my own pistol bullets, and remember in the catalog from the maker was equipment for making air gun pellets. Is anyone doing this these days? |

If you keep your mold hot then you can get the lead to flow into thinner spaces and if you vibrate the mold while pouring it will aid in reducing air bubbles. At least it works for lost wax casting and steam casting. your project is very interesting. |

That's true. I cast bullets for my muzzle loader, and there is a certain rhythm that must be maintained to keep the mould hot. Slow down and the lead freezes before it fills the cavity. |

With casting brass for steam etc you can use vent's to fill awkward recesses, but with pellets you can't do this because you have to cut them off later, and I find this damages the profile.
Swaging is a possibility I do have a press which would do the job, all I need is time and inclination.
