so, we all know lubrication wants to settle "down", in the direction of gravity's pull.
wouldn't the best way to store a springer, be level, and upside down.
this way the grease would settle towards the top of the compression tube, to be redistributed at the next usage.
storing it right side up, would have the grease wanting to run out the cocking slot.
or am i just over thinking it |

I am contemplating a full size gun case made of mild steel with stainless accents. Could probably get tons of credit for doing that.
Pete- how would you weld 12ga mild steel sheet to 1/4"x2" mild steel bar? I'm concerned that to penetrate the 1/4" I would burn through the sheet. |
