I'm installing a power adjuster in my Crosman 2400 and I'm having probelms ... How the heck do you remove the old plug?
I removed the stock and the bottom screw, and it wont budge.

| Remove the screw that holds the sight to the breech (coming down from the top, in the same hole as the one you removed underneath). |

And after that first install the power adjuster's body, afterwards insert the spring and the adjustment screw. This to prevent preload hence easier installation of the body.
It's mandatory to post pictures |

Thanks guys!
I was hoping I didn't have to remove the breech screw because that meant removing the scope which meant having to sight it in again.
No worries ...
Got the power adjuster installed and sighted in the scope again.
Works great, but I have a question ...
Without having a chrony, how do you guys get the most out of your power adjusters?
I'm thinking maybe just back off a hair when I notice it getting loud (thus wasting gas). (?)

| You might try getting some clear bars of soap (Neutragena or the like). Shoot at them end-on and measure the penetration to gauge relative power levels. It won't give you numbers, but might help compare different settings. |

Thanks Brutuz.
I bought the barrel band so I could attach a bipod, but I'm thinking it might be a bit bulky for the gun.
Don't you have the Air Force bipod on yours?
What do you think of it?
Is it bulky? Stable?

THAT'S NICE!
How does it fit? Any wobble or anything?
Did you need any sort of adaptor to go with the GMAC barrel band?

I've got the dovetailed barrelband, the bipod fits perfectly.
Did have some woble first as the barrelband's tubehole dia is to factory specs, applied one layer of ductape aroud the tube and gently tapped the barrelband in position resulting in a woble free fix.
Didn't like the poweradjuster's knob sticking out in firmest position so asked for and received a custom one.
At max power:
As you can see it's got a wide blade trigger too:
Not listed on http://www.gmaccustomparts.com/ yet, another custom job |
