Now, that sounds like a boatload of work! Good luck with it. |

I am also looking for Crosman 38c parts...I bought my 38c on GunBroker.com and it has no rear sight...I assume it was ground off to use a scope or something.

I did a quick search on Yahoo for Crosman 38c and found co2airguns.net had some pictures of one and one picture looks like the rear site is held on with a screw so maybe you just need to get a new rear site. |

The 357 rear sight appears to be almost identical to the one on the 38- but it is made of plastic, not metal. For the $10 or so from Crosman, it might be worth trying out. |

I found a NOS 38-c sight @ JG Airguns, LLC
They sell all sorts of Crosman parts. You need to know the part number to order from them.
it was $5.00 plus shipping (pricey)
I'll post if it is worth it.
My 38-c shoots one in 6 kind of wild... also it shoots differently when the cylinder is fresh or running down.
I shoot it mostly single action style... That is, I cock the hammer with my thumb before shooting. There is much less pressure on the trigger that way. |

This appears to be where they make alot of their profit. I wanted to order a pile of o-rings awhile back (i.e. an envelope's worth) and the shipping charges were absurd- so I went elsewhere. |

hi guys , i just joined. my brother and i received a 38C(him) and a 38T(me) back in 1976 or 77 , long time ago. mine still works, i still have the box and the manual. he still has his box but no manual. he needs the piercing pin as it is crushed. i just took it apart as i am typing this, after removing the beige colored seal and the piercing pin disc, there are a lot of tiny metal bits on the inner face of the 6 sided brass receiver, i cleaned them out. the actual hollow pin on the disc is gone(i suspect that is the tiny metal bits). his gun is in very good condition otherwise. does any member on this forum have a piercing pin disc and beige seal as well as the 'o' ring that goes into the back where the pipe connects ? any info would be greatly appreciated |

Don't know what size the o-ring is/isn't- you can likely use an appropriately sized automotive-type ring (oil resistant, 70- or 90-durometer rating).
The piercing pin and the "beige colored" seal are part numbers 38A027 and 38-128, respectively. If you are in the US, you can get directly from Crosman (telephone 1-800-724-7486), if in Canada, contact these guys: http://www.scopesandammo.com/storefront/ |

I had a small error with the 38c sight I ordered.
The new plastic sight was not a perfect match to my gun.
I wound up cutting down the old metal sight mounting plate and reusing it to mount the new plastic sight.
Perhaps I didn't identify my gun correctly.
There are several variants of the Crosman 38... Mine is .22 cal.
Are there .177 cal. versions?
Anyway I am going to like shooting it more now

Eric , I e-mailed them and the piercing pin and seal are both available. We just have to build up other stuff for minimum shipment requirements. Again , thank you very much. We would never sell the guns even if they did not work as they were gifts from our parents who are both dead now so being able to keep them working is spot on! |

My brother is gonna stop by , he is interested in buying one of those break action .177 pellet pistols. I think he wants to pick some brains as to what is the best buy for the buck and fps etc. |

I know they're available- note my name and the person you've communicated with at ScopesAndAmmo.com - not knowing your location originally I posted the option for the US and Canada (of course if you were in Europe or Asia that would have been an issue). This website is not for the promotion of the business so the two don't mix in any significant way. |

Hi Eric, I cannot seem to get part 38-028(screen?) out, it will spin around but no matter how hard I tap it on the desk , it will not dislodge . Does it come out ?, is there a trick to it ? I am looking to get one of them as well. Any information is appreciated , thanks |
