Hello people, I have a question about my new scope.
I HAD a Tasco 3-9-40 and decided to change it with a Center point 6-24-50.
When I Zero/shooted at 50Y with magnification set at 10x , I hit bulls aye all the time, but if I put the magnification at 24x again at 50Y I cant hit bulls aye. Should this happen.? I never had this problem with the Tasco scope.
Sorry if it sound dum but I never seen this before. |

If the scope has an adjustable obhective, make sure it is set for the range you are shooting at, or you may be getting a parallax error.... which will be greater at higher power....
If the scope is rather poorly made, and you are a long way off the "optical center", then changing magnification may distort the position of the crosshairs.... same problem.... Try optically centering the scope and use shims or an adjustable mount for initial adjustment....

Thanks Bob. So you think it is a parallax error. The truth is wen i set the PW to 12 on the (Airforce condor) it shoots different wen set on 8. Wen set on 8, at 50Y and 10x i hit bulls. but wen set power to 12 ,pellet goes 1.5" over center. and then if i put at 24x, 2" over center. Very confusing.. |

| kamakazi, since you seem to be getting only a vertical error, I have to wonder if you might be holding somewhat differently at the higher powers. It's easy to hold differently on the target when you can see it better. Make sure you are holding the exact same and try it again. |
