Most airguns are PAL rated for Canadians , very few are non Pal ..unless they are detuned and brought in as such .
So that means to enjoy a wide range of airguns you need your PAL licence . You can Challenge the exam , or take a course and then challenge the exam . I had my brother study these clips twice the Night before the exam and he scored a perfect 100% written and 100% practical both restricted and unrestricted !! It only costs $30-$40 to write the exam and the material in the clips is about 45 minutes or so combined .

Good luck with your licence

45 minutes of video clip and your brother scored 100%? Either your brother was already an expert- or the typical $150.00 course fee is a big waste of money!
That's not any sort of commentary- just makes you wonder about the people that fail the test on the first go-around (not that I know anyone that has failed- but I'm sure it has happened). |

the only time that i have seen someone fail, the instructor had a habbit of moving around the shop during the practical and the guy swept the instructors legs as he slid it under the fence. if you pay attention in the class there is no reason to fail the written and if you pay attention in the class and during the practical there is no reason to fail that either other then nervousness
i took the pal and hunting coursed at the same time got 100% on both practicals and the firearms written but got one wrong on the hunting written, they give you a goose silhouette and you have to identify it the wings looked like a duck but the neck was a goose, i picked the wrong one. |
