So, I shoot in my yard, there must be about 3000 rounds in the area I set up my targets (soda cans, etc). I'm thinking about getting a trap. What do you do with the pellets you recover from the trap? Is there special disposal given they are lead?
Thanks |

Besides my airguns, I am also fairly proficient with the
'ol slingshot.
Spent pellets taken from the trap, melted down, cast into balls
make great slingshot ammo.
Takes a lot of pellets, but hey, I shoot a lot more with the
airguns than I do with the slingshot anyway. Besides, if I
run out of slingshot ammo, marbles work fabulously. heh heh

I'm collecting as much of them as possible, when I got over a Kilo, I'll melt it into a lead plate or something, then safe that up untill I got myself a Blackpowder rifle. |

I pick them out of the critter and throw into woods.
Or when cleaning out a metal trap I dump them into the trashcan. If I did muzzle loading or something else where the lead could be melted, then it would all likely be melted out. |

| I should mention that we have cats, and the litter gets dumped downrange... we have a pile about 7' around and 3' high... it takes most of the pellets. |
