I have heard that TKO brakes have some effect on quieting the report on the Disco.I'm just wondering how this is possible, being that it is a brake, and not a sound suppressor? The Disco is right up my alley,as far as my next air gun is concerned, except they are pretty loud for my taste, and I can't afford the Marauder yet.I live in CA.and would not want to use anything that could be construed as being a silencer.Any thoughts on this?I wouldn't want to get busted, for something so trivial."We have all heard the horror stories of the uninformed"I want to get into PCP guns, and wondering if it would be better just saving up for a Marauder to play it safe? Huh?

Hey Mark,

Noise is the nature of the non-factory shrouded PCP beasts.

But once you step up to them... you won't ever want to go back...

I too am in Ca. and can tell you... it is not worth the trouble to add any device that can reduce the report of your rifle with out the proper permits and tax.

That being said... If it's too loud.... your too old... Mr. Green

I got one that is just as, if not louder than a .22 rim fire.

Okay thanks for the info Joe.I have the feeling that I have been bitten by the PCP bug pretty hard after seeing what they can do.I personally don't have an issue with noise, but the neighbors might.I think the Marauder would be a good choice for me.I'm going to have fun running this one by the wife!

I have a family member who has some skunks, and the occasional coon that wanders on the property. She has a cranky neighbor,so I need the power of a PCP,but it has to be pretty quiet so as not to piss off the old bag next door."Trust me she's a pain in the a$$"I could probably do it with my springers, and a covert shot out of the bedroom window, but don't want to cause any suffering to the animal.
