Hi - just joined the forum and hope to learn from people who have been there and done that. I have 2 Crosman 760s - one old and one new. The old one (40 years) doesn't work any more, probably from lack of proper maintenance. The new one has a plastic stock and forend instead of wood. I don't like it nearly as well and it not as accurate as the old one was. I recently bought a Crosman Storm XT. It seems like a pretty nice starter rifle, except for the trigger. It's AWFUL! I also have an old Crosman CO2 pistol that looks like a Bren 10. I'm not sure what model it is, but it's quite accurate. Also have an old Crosman pump pistol that is accurate also.

The Storm trigger can be completely changed using the GTX Gen II trigger:

http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/ select the "Custom GTX" in the panel on the left-hand side of the screen.

You can still get parts for your old 760: http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/C760SC-EVP%20&%20PL.pdf

You can order the parts directly from Crosman Customer Service.

And, Welcome to AirGunHome.com

What's a GTX-III? There is a GRT-III and a GTX Gen II, two different companies.

Sorry, got confused. I ordered the GRT-III before I saw your post. I hope it works as well.

Thanks! My old 760 has killed lots of "tree rats". I used to supplement my diet with a few squirrels when I had a back yard with several walnut trees.
