So there I was sitting in my favortie hunting chair ( my computer chair by my back door). Its about 8 am and i have been sitting here for 30 minutes with no action. I'm getting hungry so I decide to leave my post for just a few minutes to grab a bite to eat. As i come back i see movement on the powerline. Damn squirrel must have waited for me to leave dont worry I'll get him next time.......................................
NEXT TIME 9:30 am
Movement in the treetop adjoining the powerline.............a flash of gray as the squirrel comes running onto the line. I see him in my sights. A pull of the trigger and the Boom!!! One more dead "potential bird feeder raider". This shot was at maybe 20yds give or take a yrd with CPH's. He paused just at the right moment for me to score a head shot gotta love 'em.
He is wet because I wanted to see where the pellet entered at and I couldn't determine that because of all the blood. This was more of a neck shot as opposed to the above advertised head shot. |

| I am using a Crosman Storm Xt which only comes in .177. I do have the 2 2240s, but I'm not messing with the until I tear into em. I did just order a Walther Falcon Hunter edition so I'm going to see how that works out. I've gotten mixed reviews on the gun. I was going to get the one with the Air Venturi Gas Spring but my limit was $300 so I got the regular one and a couple tins of pellets =). I'll let you kno how the gun is after I've shot it a couple times. |
