I am selling a few more "burners" to get another air rifle! Getting a Beeman RX-2 in 22 cal. to compliment my R1!

My shooting buddy thinks I am crazy! lol.

I have collected a number of "burners" over the years, only to find I rarely fire them.

Best

Yea, maybe we are crazy....lol! I put up my Sig 220 & S&W 586 up for sale today.

I fired each of then an average of twice a year, great firearms, but I hardly ever use them. The guy at the shop said they will sell quickly.

In the meantime, I did order my RX-2, along with a BSA 2-7 scope Smile

My "burners" are quite clean...lol...

Re. that scope...I have a simlar BSA on my R1, so far so good. Will be using a 2 piece Beeman mount with a scope stop stud. The scope is AR rated and supposed to be Shock Proof. Well see!

i have the RX-1 in .20 and it's awesome. it is, however, very difficult to cock when fully charged.

I think that A LOT of people own TOO MANY guns. Powder and/or air.

When you have too many guns you either don't get enough practice with them all, or select a few and shoot them frequently (leaving the rest behind). Since you aren't proficient with all of your weapons, what use are they?

I have no powder burners. And I'm a better man for it.

How does it make you a better man? I see no difference.

Maybe not related to this exact topic, but being an airgunner requires much more skill and finesse, especially as a hunter, than using powder burners.

But I can't be a hypocrit, powder burners are cool too and definitely have their place.

Fritz...

You do have a valid point!

There was a time when I would bring several guns to the range. Now, I generally bring one. I am able to learn more with my alloted time, rather then shooting several.

The RX-2 has the advantage of being able to stay cocked in the hunting field, vs. the R1. Not sure thats a big deal.

Fritz, your making me think twice about it.

My R1 is already "smoothing" out with a few hundred pellets through it.
