Greetings everyone...
Took my R1 in 5mm to the range today.
Fired at 25 & 50 yards. Got real nice groups at 25, then moved to 50.
First thing I noticed, it was hitting about 2" low @ 50. Made the scope adjustments and was good to go. Groups were anywhere from 1 -2". It was getting rather windy, and my groups were getting larger. Made more adjustments to the scope.
I was shooting Beeman FTS pellets. Shooting at 50 yards is somewhat of a challenge for me. The rifle only has about 350 rounds through it.

I'm surprised you only get 2" groups at 50 yards.
Try to shoot eggs, if the range will let you (they get MESSY).
EDIT: just read you only use a 4x32 scope, that could be your problem. 4x is fine for hunting at 50 yards, but shooting targets gets hard with lower power. I would think about a 3-9 or 4-12. |
