(of course he thanks crosman for this) there was also a pin inside the tube which had a bur on it that was shaving metal off and collecting at the seal creating more shmoots. after a full clean out with the rifle in a milliion pieces while i waited he put it back together, oiled the hell out of it and.... 750fps+ with kodiaks@14 pumps.
