I have "inherited" a few more rifles. Let me know what you guys think. Some may be up for sale in the near future.
This is a Marksman 1790 .177 breakbarrel. The stock is plastic/composite. I really dont know much about these guys. It still shoots and the trigger is really light. Easy to cock and my son loves to shoot this one for some reason. Seems pretty accurate though I have only tried Gamo's in it so far.
Next up is a 392p. I believe they are a newer rifle from Benjamin. Mid 90's? Shoots well and holds air. .22 cal pumper. I might have to put a scope on this one and see what she can do...
Some paint on the forearm. It was in a storage unit for about 10 yrs...
Wow my camera makes the wood look 10 times better than it really is. Should I refinish the stock or leave it?
A Benji 312 from 1963 I believe. This has the rifled barrel not the smoothbore. Geez the 60's...I wasnt even an itch in my father's jockstrap yet (No offense to the "elder" members) Wait...let me retract that statement...lets see minus the 6, carry the one, add the 2...Yeah I think my father got this rifle when he was 6...so yeah the statement stands....
Again camera makes it look a little better. Though I have to admit the stock on this one is in very good shape considering its age. There are no cracks and only slight pressure marks on the stock and foream. I believe they refer to the forearm on this one as a "tootsie roll"? Im not sure if that has any significance
Sadly she doesnt hold air. Needs new seals. Tried the Pellgun oil trick but no luck. I guess thats the purpose of the zip tie. The original finish is all but gone. Took the stock off and found the original color of the metal was black/brown. Pretty sure its brass though as I have seen some polished up.
This lady here I actually have a pair of. Pumpmaster 66 in .177. Not really worth much but still fun to shoot. Especially with the 4X15 that came on em...
Thats all for now. With my big bore wishlist still pending, I can gaurantee my other half will make me get rid of some if not all of these. I really need to get a gun case...she cant b!tch about rifle she cant see...
I will be repairing the 312 as it seems simple enough. Just gotta find/make the seals. Working on getting an Ultimate Breech for my sons 2260 and also an RJ riser for my Mountain Air Custom. Im planning on a full shroud for that one. Money is tight but still trying to do my part in keeping this economy going Ill try to post up some pics as I progress... |

Nice. I wish that kinda stuff happened to me... Over here it's mostly old worthless breakbarrels that people keep in their sheds. |

| broom- Im suprised it did happen to me. Usually my luck is more along the lines of finding a gold ring at the beach then going back to the car to find it was stolen...Still, as free as they were I still might have to get rid of them. So says the one who tells me how to spend what the government so graciously leaves in my paychecks. |
