It appears to me that as soon as someone gets a new rifle the first thing they do is put a scope on it which is fair enough, but the scope’s get bigger rangefinders are fitted and the target doesn’t stand a chance, the follow on from this is putting a remote control on the gun stick a camera behind the scope and sit in the bar with a beer and a joystick and take a shot between each sip as you watch the monitor. By the way I realise this does not apply to hunting where the kill is everything. So come on be honest what gives you more satisfaction. or maybe you cannot get on with one or the other, what ever it is say so. AL   Posted: Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:03 pm StevieLaner7777 Moderator Joined: 07 Mar 2007 Posts: 1060 Location: Herefordshire, UK Hi Al I usually prefer Scopes more than Iron sights, As I find it difficult to focus on the target at the same time as trying to line up the sights, I find myself focusing back a forth just to make sure, Which can put quite a bit of stress on my eyes, And usually results in a headache!! Peep sights aren't as bad though! Also I like the Idea that with a scope I can see the whole target and not just half of it. Like to see some more opinions though!! I've been wearing glasses since I was 10 years old, I need bi-focals and if I stare intensely at anything for more than a few seconds, things start to fuzz up. So- I use a scope primarily. It doesn't fix the problem entirely- but with the magnification factor it does help somewhat. If I could shoot with open sights effectively for extended periods of time- I probably would- just because I could. Of course, people keep telling me they have this wonderful "lasik" eye surgery stuff- but I still remember when it first appeared 15-20 years ago and people lost their night vision as a result of it- so I'm a bit leery. _________________ ` I'd say "I care." I call it the can shreader! 800 ft/sec 30rounds in 1 1/2 sec full auto!
