Been away from the boards awhile working on that new 1377, and have it ready to shoot I beleive. I disassembled the trigger and used a stone to smooth up the sear and trigger, then went through the box of springs till I found one the correct length, but about half the strength. I tested it out and trigger pull is awesome.
I had to order and install Crosman's steel breech until RJ Machine is able to get some of his product back in stock. I used the Cros bolt handle to keep the "stealth" look going, and have plans for the trigger soon.
The cheek rest/riser is the synthetic forearm for an SKS stock, and it just took a little fitting with the Dremel and files to get it fitted and screwed on. It works very well, and in my opinion it appears that it is supposed to come on the shoulder stock, but we all know about opinions.
On the bottom of the grip of the shoulder stock I attached a section of Weaver rail using the proper length of screws. At the moment I have an LED tactical light in the scope ring attached to the rail, and also have a TRU GLO laser sight aid that would mount right up.
My current optic is a Leapers Compact 6x32 scope, which will be replaced with my Leapers 6 inch Tactedge Red/Green dot optic as soon as I either get 30mm rings that fit the .22 rail, or an adapter to go from 3/8" to Weaver rail
I have installed the sling stud in the pump handle but am not satisfied with the lack of security/tightness of it. I have some stout epoxy and am going to test it on the inside of the original grip panel and if it doesnt eat up the plastic I'll epoxy the threads of the pump handle the sling stud cut as I installed it. That should be strong enough.
I want my green/red dot optic on, and the other major project will be removing the roll pins of the pump handle and replace them with nuts and bolts with countersunk bolt heads and the nuts fitted flush. Maybe by then Joe at MuzzleMack will have some 18" barrels and bands.
Let me know what you think about my first "custom" 1377. After I get the barrel/band, muzzle break, a breech from RJ, I'll then go for the flat top piston and other internals.
Thanks for looking, woodhippy

Looks good, but how do you like loading pellets under the scope like it's set up right now?

I tried a scope on an Avanti (Daisy) 853. At the time all I had at hand were low-mount rings. I learned to rest the pellet on the ledge and roll it into the bolt channel.

Loading it under the scope doesnt bother me at all AirgunEric. I am getting 30mm rings to mount my Tactedge green/red dot optic and expect it to mount a bit higher and and offer more clearance.
FYI: The light I have on it is one of those $5 or $6 LED lights you find at some conveinence stores. It is just a bit less than an inch outside diameter and fits the 1" scope ring well, and it is illuminates quite a distance, I can positively id nocturnal targets through the scope to 30 or 40 feet. Not bad for $6.00. They make the lights in black of course, and I found them in a camo finish recently for the same price.
I think I am gonna take the trigger back out and dip or brush it in PlastiDip for a better grip and to keep it in the black "stealth" theme.
I put the original grips back on the early version 1377, but left the scope mounts and Simmons red dot on. I prefer scopes over iron sights, but the old pistol can be returned to original by removing a couple parts.
I'm gonna get a couple more parts for the new one, then have to redirect my "gun budget" to a 9mm and get my conceal carry license and purchase as much ammo as possible for all the center fire guns.
Slavia, for loading I have no problems. There is 1 3/8" from the bottom of my scope to the edge of open chamber, use a technique similar to yours.

Tell me how the Plastidip business turns out. That sounds interesting.
