I'm really considering getting a 2240, if for not exterminating the local pest population than just for fun.
I read lots about all these mods and such that you guys do.
And they look awesome.
I've found the Crosman site and they sell a "Steel Breech"
But is it the long one? I would love to mount either a scope or Red Dot Sight on the gun, but It shouldn't be clumsy around the loading area of the bolt. I have pretty big fingers.
I want to add a long barrel I'm thinking atleast 14" or longer if possible.
If that would do anything for performance.
And then I'll do some Co2 mods.
I would love to turn this into a "Sniping Pistol"
But I can't find barrels or upgrade part outside of the Crosman site?
Where do you guys obtain your parts???
I'm puzzled. Google isn't helping much either.
Thanks!

All the modification parts you are talking about come from Crosman (you can order directly from their customer service department). The steel breech kit comes with a 6, maybe 7-inch steel breech (I don't recall at the moment) with a scope rail and an extended bolt. The 14" barrel comes from another Crosman gun- the 2289.
Steel breech part number is 2240SBPK, 14" barrel number is 2289-001, call Crosman's main telephone number on their website and ask for "Customer Service" and they can give you pricing on things. |

I've seen lots of reports about the 2240 being pretty loud.
That is a bit of an issue.
My biggest attraction to the thing is expandability.
I don't even prefer single shot.
I would love to have a repeating .22 pistol that I could add a longer barrel to plus sights/lights.
I've found this Gamo pistol it's .177, but that's alright.

It has everything else.
I just prefer not to use that specific barrel.
What other pistols are good to mod with?
is it possible to change a gun from .177 to .22??
I guess I really want a Tac pistol.
I'm just having an issue with finding barrels to fit these guns.
Rather than suppressors I would rather have a long barrel. |

| I've looked at the Rohm Twinmaster before and both rifles and pistols look good. The only place I can find them offered in the US is Airguns of Arizona. Also they're pretty expensive. The Rohm Twinmaster Desperado lists there for around $750 or more. |

| For that kind of money I might as well buy a real rifle, one I've been wanting for awhile...in 280 caliber |
