I just upgraded from a Gamo Big Cat 1200 to a Benjamin Powermaster Elite 1500 and was wondering if anyone knows of any 3rd party stocks or a replacement for the stock spring. The spring is perfect and I cannot complain, but I was told to look into a gas compressed type piston system that could be used instead of the spring. I don't know what benefits (besides as easier time cocking it) that it would have.
The rifle is heavy or I should say heavier than your average Crossman or Gamo, but the added thumb stock is much worth the extra weight. With a velocity of 1500, there is no way to keep the surrounding area quiet (I appreciate that I live on a farm type property and have no neighbors, but feel bad for the person that lives in the subdivision that buys this not knowing how loud it is).
Basically, this rifle kicks a$$ and will give you a workout if you use it a lot. I have yet to use or get to the "200 shot break in" period as I only use it on nice warm days.
It came with a respectable 3-9 x 40 CP scope, but I just had to put on a 4-20 X 50 CP scope with a green/red dot 2x scope above it for kicks.

If I'm not mistaken- a "PowerMaster Elite 1500" is a Super Streak that has been re-labelled for one or two retailers (i.e. Wal-Mart's and Dick's).
That being said, I don't know of anyone making any third-party parts for them at this point, but why would you want another spring if this one is operating A-Ok? A gas spring will cost $100.00 and would making cocking a bit easier and eliminate any spring 'twang' you may have and might allow for a bit more consistency- but if you haven't even broken it in yet (and 200 shots is a bit low for a "break in"- try 500-800 shots) it might be a bit premature to judge that another spring might be worthwhile.
If looking for other people's experiences on it, see what people have been saying about their Benjamin SuperStreak's in .177 - perhaps people have found the spring isn't great over time, I don't know myself. |

I am not sure as well...with respect to changing out the spring. That info was given to me 3rd party and I never understood why. I knew that it would make it easier to cock, but hey...I am a big boy and can handle it. LOL I did't know about it being the same as a Super Streak. I will make note of that. Indeed, Dick's is where I got it. I had so many points on my account, I got it for next to nothing. The other thing that I did not know was that Benji and x-man were the same company....only when I saw the instructions I said "boy this is the same color and layout of the x-man gun manuals". Anyways...tnx for responding. I will keep an eye out for that other name it goes by.

| That is a re-name for other stores. I have it labeled as a super streak. It's a decent gun, I think my spring is broken in it though. It wasn't too accurate even after 2000 rounds. |
