Converting it to HPA will probably increase power, however, with detuning it, you'll be able to get it below that 12 Fpe. You'll get a lot of shots from a tank.

I don't believe the "850 store" kit is really tunable- you need a regulator that is set to limit the amount of pressure being fed to the gun, otherwise you will go over 12fpe rather easily. Is there someone with an adjustable regulator out there for sale?

Thanks Airgun Eric, all the info from the 850 store website leads me to believe that it will go over the limit with no way to detune it easily, for me that is.A gunshop may be able to but then more expense,so i,m thinking maybe buy an off the shelf gun, perhaps the best way to own a leagal precharge.Shame though because I like my 850 its just the cold weather over here makes it a bit temperamental.

Another enquiry for 850 owners modders. Has anybody in the UK converted theirs to a 9oz paintball co2 tank ? If any one has, where do you get it refilled, how many shots do you get and does it up the power a little bit,but still leagal.
Many thanks for any replies. :) |

I'm not in the UK- but just filling it using a Co2 tank for paintball wouldn't change it's power output- so you'd be A-Ok in that department. There have been people who have drilled a hole in the 88g canister, attached a quick-disconnect fitting and hooked that up to a paintball tank, they can then either fill just the 88g canister as needed and disconnect the hose, or leave it all attached all the time.

if your gun shoots 12 ft-lbs now, converting to 9 oz is not a problem. The gun will get a lot of shots per fill, I can't say because I keep losing count! And my gun shoots 15.5 ft-lbs. So you will be fine. All you need is to order an adapter from these guys: http://www.bryanandac.com/BulkAir.htm It will give you the same power but about 500+ shots...according to Roald at the 850 Store.

Thanks Airgun Eric and Cliffspot. The info is much appreciated,Ithink I will convert my 850 to bulk fill co2 rather than air much easier and cheaper as 88gram co2 here costs about £5.50 each plus shipping. Will order from Bryan .Do you know the best place to get a 9 or 10oz co2 container from? Thanks again for your help.

Or send an email to Roald at the 850 store. He might be able to get you a deal on the adapter and tank combo. The paintball sites MAY have it, but when I was setting up my gun last summer I was told that 9oz cans are going out of style as most use 20oz cans now. I got lucky and bought the last 2 9 oz cans the local paintball shop had! And everyone in paintball are changing over to HPA now! I don't think they make 10 oz cans and if they did it would probably not clear the barrel on the gun. Get 2 cans, that way if you run out, you can still keep shooting until you can fill the first one!
