Oh...
hell...
YEAH!
Man, what a difference! Suddenly, my groups are half as big with half the work put into each shot. Best 32 bucks I've spent in a long time. I can't believe Gamo puts the "long way round the barn" trigger in there instead of something along the line of CDT's excellent replacement.
Without any adjustment, it feels like a whole different gun and I have to relearn the trigger all over again. There's going to be a little fine tuning to get rid of the tiny bit of creep in the second stage but just as it came out of the bag, it's 1000 times better than the stock trigger.
I thought the Gamo was good before, it's a stone cold rat killer now.
VERY pleased!

The only "complaints" I have with the trigger are the rather unfortunate "gold" anodizing, I'd be much happier with just plain black, and the fact the trigger's aluminum. I'd have paid another 20 bucks for a steel trigger and been perfectly happy to do so.
But hey, at this price, if the thing wears out after a few thousand rounds, I can buy another one and feel like I've gotten my money's worth.
Dunno nuttin bout no "b!tch fighting" but comparison tests are always cool. You should give it a shot and let us know what you find out. |

Hey Buster,
I just added the trigs to my Phantom and Benjamin Classic 22 and same deal, ....WOW!
I know guys in my area that color anodize for cheap, black would be no problem, and would hardly cost anything for something the size of a trigger |

Buster, I have never heard a complaint about GRT, GTX, or any of the other aftermarket triggers (that actually work).
Doubt it will ever wear out. More likely the anodizing to rub off. |

The parts that rub on the "strut" (or secondary sear) are steel-to-steel, and the pivot is large enough to have lots of surface area. It should last a long time. |

ya, i think so...
I put a thin washer under the trigger where the square bolt holds it on to tilt it forward a little and now it works fine. I could't adjust it enough with the blade settings |

First time I installed it I forgot to remove the org screw. I had it installed and working fine for about 400 shots and then it just stopped working, i think Kanyon nailed it, I was just catching the edge to start with.
The trigger assembly that came with my phantom was very poor, it was bent to one side and the tab with hole that mounts to the camber was bent and the hole did't line up well. Like I said in my earlier post I tried shimming it up with a washer and it cocked, so I think the mounting tab has to be bent back down a bit, then I will be able to remove the washer. |

What you describe sounds right. By putting a shim under the tab (or bending the tab) you could have rocked the sear farther into the piston area for better engagement. Check to be sure the sear comes to rest against the outside of the compression tube.
Those two little "ears" on the trigger housing could be preventing reliable sear engagement by limiting the rearward movement of the piston. (There was evidence of contact there in my G1.) Removing a millimeter or less with a file will cure that.
Also be sure that the trigger housing is pushed as far forward as possible before locking it down.
